It most often is year - month - day but can be year - week of the year (01 - 52) or some variation like that. My Tommasini is a 2 digit year and month followed by a 3 digit production number. Looks like it, was told it was a 2002 Colnago Classic 'Rabobank' theme paint. I'll keep searching for confirmation. That is exactly the same as my bike. I noticed that the orange color is different between the 2 bikes. I also noticed my bike has a different fork on it. I wish I had the original one.
